Community Litter Pick

We are calling out to our families to get involved in this community litter pick event in Blakelaw over half term. This will be the 100th litter pick for these weekly events. We are proud that members of our school community regularly help out. So if you have a ...little free time on the 31st October at 11am why don't you lend a hand!

🌟NETfest🌟
This week a group of shining stars took to the stage to perform in NETfest. Performing in front of two thousand people, on stage at the Glasshouse in Gateshead, is an astonishing achievement and they smashed it! They sang their hearts out, putting aside their fears and filling... the auditorium with joy and happiness. The children have been part of this production from start to end. They have worked with the brilliant Ms Stevens and Mrs Taylor to create their costumes and film the stop frame animation which played on the screen behind. Thank you to the children who attend art club who helped to create the images for the production too.

Well done. We could not be prouder!

Halloween Disco
Please see attached information about the Halloween Disco taking place tonight after school.

Times:
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2: 3-4pm

Year 3, 4, 5 and 6: 4.15pm- 5.15pm

Can we please remind you that you will collect your children from their ...classroom doors at the end of the disco and all children must be collected. Children do not have permission to walk home alone due to the time and the dark nights.

Lilibet's
A big thank you to our Lilibet's team who help to run our little shop most days. They have worked their hardest during breaktime selling breakfast bars and other small snacks. This half term they have raised over £100! This will be spent on more outdoor resources for ...children to use during breaktimes. Well done team!

Parking

You may have noticed that the yellow road markings have been refreshed around our school. Please can we remind all parents who drive to school to park safely and to use the car parks and side streets safely. There is an increasing number of cars dropping children at school and ...stopping in the road. Children, who are as young as 6, have been left to cross busy roads alone and come into school. Mornings are always busy but please can we ask that cars park safely and that adults bring their young children to the gate.
